May saw the 20th anniversary of The Big Rock Cafe Porthmadog. It was with cautious enthusiasm that we sent out 150 invites and would have been very happy if 20 Big Rock enthusiasts arrived. By the afternoon we really didn't know what to expect. Eventually 100 guests arrived for strawberries, scones and cream, giving thanks and testimonies to hear all the Lord had done on that little high street in Wales. After a bit of history and a few rounds of 'Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah', we were quite overwhelmed at the support of local churches and staff past and present. A big thank you to family members from Bristol, Derby and East Sussex who made the trip, blew up balloons, buttered barabrith and lead the music. We were quite overcome. |

It is with this boost of encouragement that we have begun to programme some events for the diary. This autumn will see the first of 6 mini Bible Rallies, both in Milland and Porthmadog. Why rally? ....the work is great and extensive and we are separated on the wall far from one another. At what ever place you hear the trumpet rally to us there. Our God will fight for us. Nehemiah 4v19There is a great need to be strengthened for the battle and the walls are broken down. So, in November we will warmly invite anyone who will rally with us for an afternoon of Bible challenge, encouragement, a light meal and a challenge to get into the word of God for ourselves. |
